About the Forum

Our vision, history, and the Forum’s evolution across past editions.

Developing Morocco as a regional hub for green hydrogen collaboration between Germany and the rest of Africa.

The German-African Green Hydrogen Forum was initiated in 2023 in Germany as a high-level international platform dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Germany and African countries in the field of green hydrogen and sustainable energy systems. The Forum was established to encourage dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships supporting the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy.

Since its launch, the Forum has brought together experts from academia, industry, government institutions, and international organizations to discuss technological advances, policy frameworks, and investment opportunities related to green hydrogen.

By connecting Germany’s technological expertise with Africa’s vast renewable energy potential, the Forum aims to foster collaborative initiatives and support the development of innovative and sustainable hydrogen solutions contributing to the global energy transition
